M e s s a g e

Welcome participants!

Our nation is very much honored to host all participating countries in this 18th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet and the 9th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting. Your participation underscores a renewal of commitment to unity and harmony between our armed forces.  Indeed this helps strengthen the fiber of partnership and cooperation in our collective desire for regional peace.

The Philippine Army has diligently planned and worked to insure that the various requirements of this annual event as well as its objectives are ultimately met.  I take cognizance of the efforts made by the representatives of each member nation in the preparation of the rules and standards of the events during the Technical Committee Meeting last July.  Your wisdom and experience are invaluable contributions in the realization of this friendly meet. We are offering you no less than our humble hospitality as we work towards building new frontiers in developing and strengthening relationships that are essential in addressing common interests and achieving mutual goals.  We remain convinced that with this kind of inter-army skills event we can work together to preserve a safe and secure environment for the benefit of the region and our people.

I enjoin everybody to have pleasure in all events and activities.  Optimize interactions and take the opportunity to share your culture while you wear the cloth of your respective nation’s Army.  Remember, in this noble undertaking we will gain experience, establish friendly ties, share views and learn from each other.  We must all  continually  strive to work for peace and in so doing, we are all winners! Mabuhay ASEAN Armies!
