My congratulations and warmest wishes to the Philippines Army on hosting the 18th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM). Since its inauguration, the AARM has provided an excellent platform for friendly interactions and exchange amongst the regional armies. The level of professionalism of the participants reflects the consistently high standards of shooting each year, and over the years, we also see the continual enhancement of professional and personal ties between our countries and our soldiers. The Singapore Army is indeed honored to be invited to participate in the 18th AARM. This event is a showcase of the regional Armies’ marksmanship and professionalism. It will spur participants to higher standards of shooting proficiency and learning amidst the competitive spirit.

Many thanks to our hosts and the organizing committee of the Philippines Army for ensuring a successful 18th AARM. We look forward to experience and to enjoy the excellent hospitality of the Philippine Army and the Filipino culture.
