Army participates in Training Activity “Salaknib” 2018

Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army recently hosted the Philippines-United States (PH-US) Army to Army Training Activity (TA) “Salaknib” 2018 which was conducted from 25 April to 4 May 2018 at Fort Magsaysay Military Reservation, Nueva Ecija and Camp General Leopoldo O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.

The PH-US Army-to-Army Training Activity “Salaknib” 2018 is a series of trainings between the Philippine and US Army which aims to increase the interoperability between the two armies in preparation for future contingency operations. The joint training activity is expected to increase cooperation and interoperability of both forces in responding to various security challenges.

salaknibThe PH-US Army-to-Army Training Activity Salaknib 2018 is a series of trainings that focuses on the different subject matter expert exchanges, namely: M113 Armored Personnel Carrier Maintenance, Combat Engineer Operations, Military Operations in Urban Terrain, Field Artillery Operations and Sustainment Operations.

The training activities are designed to enhance the capabilities and interoperability of both the Philippine Army and U.S. military. Likewise, it aims to build effective and ready forces capable of responding to various security challenges.
