Army dons ranks to 19 Marawi Heroes at the AFP Health Service Command

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Rolando Joselito D. Bautista dons ranks to 19 newly promoted soldiers at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command today, June 6, 2018.

The soldiers who were still recuperating were given honor and recognition for their contribution in the liberation of Marawi City last year. Among the newly promoted troopers are 1 Master Sergeant, 2 Technical Sergeants, 1 Staff Sergeant, 9 Sergeants, and 6 Corporals.

After the donning of ranks, the AFP HSC conducted the “V-Luna Medical Center Got Talent” with WIA soldiers as participants who showcased their talents in singing, drawing and dancing. A gift giving also followed which brought delight to the wounded soldiers.

As of June 5, 2018 there are a total of 25 Army soldiers who are still recuperating at the AFP HSC while 9 are at the Army General Hospital located Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

Lt. Gen. Bautista thanked all the wounded soldiers at the AFP HSC for their services. He stressed that their sacrifices will never be forgotten and ensured that they will get assistance they need for their recovery.#
