The Philippine Army led by the Army Chief Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. gave its last respect to the late Gen. Rodolfo G. Biazon who was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on June 20, 2023.
The Army’s Security and Escort Battalion steered the funeral march from the Libingan ng mga Bayani gate to the gravesite. The late general passed away at the age of 88 years old on the morning of June 12, 2023.
Moreover, it can be recalled that General Biazon was an accomplished military officer who looked after the sovereignty in Kalayaan Island and battled insurgencies in Mindanao for 18 years. He serves as the 21st AFP Chief of Staff from January 24 to April 12, 1991. The former CSAFP was also an admired legislator who authored laws on low-cost housing and other noteworthy benefits for the soldiers.
