Army Saluting Battery accords gun salutes for the 24 newly promoted generals

The Saluting “Guns of Dignity” Battery of the Army Artillery Regiment accorded gun salutes to the 24 newly promoted generals from the Philippine Army at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on June 21, 2023.
 
The Saluting Battery rendered a 13-gun salute to the following two-star generals: Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Steve D. Crespillo, Army Support Command Commander Maj. Gen. Rogelio D. Ulanday, 3rd Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Marion R. Sison, Training and Doctrine Command Commander Maj. Gen. Luis Rex D. Bergante, Army Inspector General Rommel K. Tello, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence Maj. Gen. Ferdinand T. Barandon, AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Maj. Gen. Fernando M. Reyeg, AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics Maj. Gen. Rey B. Alemania, AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Retiree and Reservist Affairs Maj. Gen. Joel Alejandro S. Nacnac, and AFP Chief Engineer Maj. Gen. Proceso S. Rebancos.
 
On the other hand, an 11-gun salute was rendered to the one-star generals: Civil-Military Operations Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. Benjamin L. Hao, Army Support Command Commander Brig. Gen. Alejandro J. Papa, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Orlando D. Edralin, 301st Infantry Brigade Commander Michael G. Samson, 201st Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Erwin A. Alea, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Communication, Electronics and Information Systems Brig. Gen. Patriarch Robinson P. Pel, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics Brig. Gen. Leo Edward Y. Caranto, 403rd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Michele B. Anayron, 602nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Donald M. Gumiran, 502nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Eugene M. Mata, 51st Engineer Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Antonio C. Rota, 1002nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Patricio Ruben P. Amata, 55th Engineer Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Ulpiano T. Olarte, and Senior Military Assistant to Secretary of National Defense Brig. Gen. Alvin V. Luzon.
 
“To our generals, remember that as you lead and act, you also set an example as the best representation of who we are as officers, leaders, and servants of our nation. May your new stars continue to motivate you in serving our people and sustaining the momentum of leadership excellence in our organization,” Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S.
