The Philippine Army, through the Office of the Army Sergeant Major (OASM), concluded the two-day Enlisted Women Forum 2023 with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. as Guest Honor and Speaker at Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on June 30, 2023.
The two-day activity provided a forum for senior female Non-commissioned Officers to address gender-specific issues and challenge preconceived biases. Moreover, it raised awareness about the vital role of women in the military.
The Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. recognized the valuable contributions of the women in the military as they performed significant roles in accomplishing the mission. “You are catalysts for change, agents of empowerment, and advocates for gender equality within our ranks. It is through our unwavering commitment and collective efforts that we will continue to create an environment where every enlisted woman can flourish and thrive,” the Army Chief remarked.
