Kaugnay Division gears toward territorial defense

The 7th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army strengthened its Reserve and Regular Forces interoperability toward territorial defense operation during the division’s 35th founding anniversary on August 1, 2023 at Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Anchored on the theme, “Embracing Kaugnay Spirit and Sustaining Professional Excellence,” Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker who lauded the accomplishments of the 7ID as it has been the face of the Philippine Army to its allies and partners where most bilateral and trilateral exercises with other countries are conducted.

During the anniversary, the division gave honor to the partner stakeholders, battalions, officers, and enlisted personnel for their exemplary performance that contributed to the overall accomplishments of the command. The Army leadership also distributed Individual Clothing & Individual Equipment (ICIE) to all the reservists and CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA).

Likewise, Gen. Brawner also recognized the significant role of the Reserve Forces as the solid pillar of the country’s territorial defense posture. He lauded the conduct of the Reserve Personnel Leadership Enhancement Program (RPLEP) with the accomplishment of nine Ready Reserve Battalions in 7ID. “As we transition from internal security operations to territorial defense, I commend your aptitude in integrating different assigned forces during peace and conflict. I am happy to see all of the developments, the new establishments and innovations,” the CSAFP ended.
