FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - The Philippine Army contingent in this year's iteration of AJEX DAGITPA conducted the Occupation of Battle Position for Army and Marine Forces on November 9, 2023, in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.
Maj. John Rey P. Acasio served as the lead planner for the Army Forces contingent and also led the final briefing to the training audience for the Joint Littoral Live Fire. Lt. Col. Jessie James B. Tuguic also served as the Commander of the Battalion Task Force for the Army forces during the activity.
The AFP Joint Exercises 'Dagat-Langit-Lupa' (AJEX DAGITPA) is an exercise aiming to fortify the forces' territorial defense posture, sharpen the external security capabilities, and respond to emerging threats with unparalleled precision. More than 1,500 active and reserve personnel from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Special Operations Command, and Cyber Group participated in the exercise, which will run from November 6 until November 17.
