The 6th Civil-Military Operations “Kasangga” Battalion is capable of intensifying CMO activities in the Joint Task Force Central (JTFC) Joint Area of Operation (JAO) in support to the Development Support and Security Operations (DSSO) of JTFC to win the hearts and minds of the target audiences; to weaken the will to fight of the BIFF, Daesh-inspired group of Abu Turaife, SRC Daguma and GF Musa, FSMR and other terrorist groups; and to support the constant talks with PIAG’s in order to create an environment conducive for sustainable development and a just and lasting peace in Central and South-Central Mindanao.
The Civil-Military Operations focused on Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs and Public Affairs was basically instrumental in supporting the sustainment of the campaign through Community Support Program (CSP) and Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) in the JAO of JTFC. This was made possible by the deliberate employment of CMO personnel based on their respective strengths. Through the continuing conduct of Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs and Public Affairs. It is expected that JTFC will continue to generate public support through the “whole of the nation approach” and will likewise continue to influence the behavior of target communities and threat groups.
Today the 6th CMO Battalion endeavors to improve its capabilities and enhance their skills to continue serve best the People of South and South-Central Mindanao.
