CMOR celebrates 65th Founding Anniversary

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila- The Civil-Military Operations Regiment, celebrates its 65th Founding Anniversary with the theme, “CMOR @ 65: Sustaining its Relevance from Marawi and Beyond” with Maj. General Robert M. Arevalo AFP, Vice Commander, Philippine Army as GOHAS held at the Ricarte Hall, Philippine Army Officers Club House on Friday, August17.

The CMOR for 65 years of existence have already received International Standard Organization (ISO) certification award for delivering various quality and excellent public services that gain popular support like the Pinoy Batang Bayani Program, Project Shoebox, Little Free Library, Mobile Education in Wheels, and Food for Peace which immensely contributed in building positive image of the Philippine Army.

In the fight against terrorism, they had proven their capability and expertise with resounding victory side by side in the frontline with joint forces, employing soft approach strategy that includes loudspeaker operation, leaflets-drop and employment of Hijab troops which tremendously instrumental for regaining normalcy in Marawi City.

Some of the highlights of the event were the impression from the actor, Mr. Robin Padilla, Audio Visual Presentation about the unit accomplishments and book launching entitled “Hitting the Enemy Hard the Soft Way”.

The celebration was also capped by an awarding wherein deserving personnel of the unit were given appropriate recognition for exhibiting excellence, gallantry and dedication in the recent peace operation in Marawi. Significantly, plaques of recognition were also conferred to former commanders of the unit by no less than Major General Arevalo.

The Philippine Army is grateful for CMOR unfaltering commitment, responsiveness in addressing the security threats and as potent partner in nation building, Arevalo said in his message.#
