FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila- In a ceremonial turnover, the Army Personnel Management Center (APMC) received a commuter van from the Armed Forces of the Philippines Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AFPSLAI) today, Jan. 21, 2019.
The Army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Jesus B. Sarsagat accepted the donation in behalf of the Philippine Army from AFPSLAI Senior Vice-President, retired Maj. Gen. Enrique C. Reyes.
“Let this generous gesture of the AFPSLAI inspire us to work harder in accomplishing our goals,” Maj. Gen. Sarsagat said in his remarks. The commuter van will be used mainly by the unit to visit schools and universities in a bid to recruit would-be candidate soldiers and officers.
The APMC handles the recruitment process and ensures that the best and brightest among the youth are selected to join the Philippine Army.#
