FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army and the Department of Public Works and Highways held a ground-breaking ceremony of the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) infrastructure projects yesterday, June 27, 2019 at Camp Tecson, San Miguel Bulacan.

The infra-projects include a 2-storey 20-door transient quarters, multi-purpose building, FSRR clubhouse and asphalting of the regiment’s perimeter road. The projects aim to improve FSRR facilities and provide support to the troops who are training at the camp.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto led the ground-breaking ceremony together with FSRR Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. William Gonzales and DPWH Sec. Mark Villar.

Gonzales targets to finish the multiple projects before November, just in time for the regiment’s anniversary.

“Magtatayo po tayo ng isang building that does justice to the sacrifice of the Scout Rangers,” said Villar.

"These initiatives are meant to uplift the morale of our hard-working soldiers, a symbol of the nation's gratitude for their selfless service to the nation. We thank the government agencies concerned and other stakeholders for their continued support as it inspires us to carry on our mission and better serve our people", said Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala, the Army spokesperson. #
