The KASANAG foundation Inc founded by John J Chiong, is a Civil Society Organization which aims to promote peace and development in the country based on the principles of social justice and mutual benefit. Further, the organization takes the reporting, discussion and appropriate actions on the different social and economic issues in the community. Among these issues are crimes, illegal drugs, corruption and climate change. They resolve these issues through conflict resolution, social development and poverty eradication, facilitate and provide sustainable development including environmental protection, peace and national security and human rights advocacy.
Major General Aying during his speech stressed out the role and achievements of KASANAG in community development, economic prosperity and peace building in the country particularly in Negros Island Region together with the Philippine Army. Further, he encourage the organization to continue preventing terrorism and illegal drugs as part of the trinity in nation building. The trinity he refers to is the National, regional, provincial, local government units and government agencies; the Law Enforcement Agencies (PNP, AFP, NBI, PDEA and others) and the community wherein the KASANAG belongs together with other civil society organizations. He ended his message with a strong encouragement that the three organizations (trinity) must work together with out most understanding, respect, tolerance,co-existence and interdependence in building our nation.
