FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Commanding General Philippine Army attends the Armor Pambato Division's 44th Founding Anniversary celebration as Guest of Honor and Speaker at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac today, June 16, 2020.
Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay in his speech lauded the division’s accomplishment in internal security operations with the recovery of firearms and neutralization of threat personalities. He also acknowledged the division’s efforts in providing security and transportation assistance to the local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for COVID-19 response operations.
During the ceremony, celebrity reservists 2nd Lt. Ronnie Liang, 2nd Lt. Zahra Bianca Saldua and other personnel were awarded for their valuable service in the frontlines during the height of the COVID-19 crisis.
“’Armor is the future of the Army’. Hanggang ngayon, ito pa rin ang ating pananaw at unti-unti na itong nakakamit ng Armor Division, pero mas importante ang patuloy na dedikasyon at pagtutulungan para sa adhikaing ito,” said Gapay. “Let us remain focused on sustaining the momentum in capacitating the Army towards greater mission effectiveness. Let us continue our efforts toward operational and organizational excellence and modernization while closely working with our partners and stakeholders, and uplifting the well-being of our personnel,” he added. #
