FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila –The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the National Defense College of the Philippines Alumni Association, Inc. (NDCPAAI) here today, September 3, 2020.
The award serves to recognize Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana’s achievement in the field of national security administration, particularly in the field of military service, and for upholding the National Defense College of the Philippines’ (NDCP) traditions which are exemplified in his endeavors.
The NDCP was established to prepare future defense and security leaders for high positions of responsibility and command; and undertake strategic research and special duties as basis for the formulation of policies to enhance national defense and security; and programs and projects in pursuit of the Department of National Defense mission.
Sobejana took the Executive Course on National Security and the 7th Senior Executive Course on National Security from the said institution in 2003 and 2014 respectively.
“I am thankful that the institution remains as our partner in honing Army leaders preparing to command higher echelons. Sa lahat ng bumubuo ng NDCP at NDCPAAI, ipagpatuloy po natin ang mga inisyatibong naglalayon na mapagbuklod ang mga lider ng ating bansa para sa ating mimithing katiwasan at kaunlaran,” Sobejana said as he also extended his gratitude to Brig. Gen. Benjamin Espiritu (Res), NDCPAAI President; and Brig. Gen. Archimedes Viaje (Ret), NDCP President.
“Tayo ay patuloy pong maging dedikado sa ating tungkulin bilang mga tapat na tagapaglingkod ng sambayanang Pilipino. Narating natin kung saan tayo ngayon dahil sa pagmamalasakit at pagmamahal sa bayan,” added Sobejana.
