Army installs new Chief of Ordnance and Chemical Service

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army installs the new Army Chief Ordnance and Chemical Services (ACOCS) here today, November 24, 2020.
In a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided by the Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Rowen Tolentino, the outgoing OACOCS chief Col. Florante Sison relinquished his post to the incoming chief Col. Leo Edward Caranto.
Prior to his assumption, Col. Caranto served as Deputy of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, G4, PA and was also the Director of Research and Development Center, Army Support Command. A member of the Philippine Military Academy “Tanglaw Diwa” Class of 1992, he holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration for Executives from Southwestern University,…..
On the other hand, Col. Sison’s leadership enabled the office to efficiently conduct annual ordnance maintenance and ammunition surveillance inspections; other inspections test, and acceptance of ordnance supplies such as vehicles, spare parts and ammunition, crafted Technical Specification and Test and Acceptance Procedures for both mobility and firepower items; and disposal operations for ammunitions.
“Your office is vital to the accomplishment of our thrusts, particularly on formulating and revising the procedures on the supply, maintenance and disposal of armaments and ammunitions. Through your collective efforts, we will achieve our vision of becoming a world-class Army that is a source of national pride,” said Maj. Gen. Tolentino in his remarks.#
