Philippines, South Korea armies foster military relationship

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army (PA) and the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) continue to foster its bilateral relationship during a virtual introductory call yesterday, April 27, 2021.

Acting PA Commanding General Lt. Gen. Jose C. Faustino Jr. and ROKA Chief of Staff Gen. Nam Yeong Shin discussed both armies’ future engagements and cooperation.

The leaders shared updates on the PA and ROKA’s mutual agreement that will serve as a venue to plan and approve education and training activities; senior officer and personnel exchange programs; and the best practices in capability development.

Lt. Gen. Faustino Jr. and Gen. Nam both expressed their gratitude for the partnership that continues to boost the two armies’ capabilities in sustaining the peace and security in the region.#
