FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Andres C Centino, commends the 88th Infantry Battalion (88IB) under 403rd Infantry Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division for its effort that resulted in the surrender of one CPP-NPA-Terrorist (CNT) leader and six others at Brgy. Tongan-tongan, Valencia City, Bukidnon on September 26, 2021.
Elements of the 88IB successfully negotiated the surrender of Dante Pluma Cuyos alias PEDRING, Political Officer of Platoon Bagsik of the NPA's Guerilla Front (GF) Malayag of the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC), and six others. The surrenderees said that they were already tired of evading the 4ID's relentless focus military operations. The personalities surrendered three AK47 rifles, one M4 Bushmaster rifle, one M14 rifle, and one Garand rifle.
