FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) in Quezon City today, October 6, 2021.
The Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino and PHC Executive Director Dr. Joel M. Abanilla teamed up implementing Good Governance and bringing quality cardiovascular care accessible to the personnel of the Philippine Army.
The PHC aims to develop Regional Heart Centers, especially in Marawi, Cotabato, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga City, and provide Cardiovascular Surgical Missions with the help of the Army.
The partnership also entails the Army's assistance in the application process of PHC's Palladium BSC Hall of Fame and the providence of practical logistic support to the relevant activities conducted by the PHC.
Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino thanked the PHC for recognizing the Army's pursuit to improve the Filipino people's quality of life amidst the pandemic.
"I extend my most sincere gratitude to our life-saving partners from the Philippine Heart Center for complimenting the Philippine Army's efforts in serving our Kababayans. Indeed, our signing of MOU today seals our faithful vow to fulfill our objective of enhancing and safeguarding the health standards, quality of living, and well-being of our countrymen. Thus I hope that the seal of partnership today will set the standard in nurturing productive and meaningful endeavors in the future," remarked Lt. Gen. Centino during the MOU signing. #
