FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, donned the ranks of the newly-promoted Major Generals of the Philippine Army in a ceremony here today, October 7, 2021.
During the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong, the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army and Maj. Gen. Peter Angelo L. Ramos, the Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, were donned with a two-star rank in recognition of their exemplary service to the nation.
Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino congratulated the promoted generals and reiterated their roles in accomplishing the Army's thrusts in intelligence-driven operations, optimal use of resources, advancing professionalism and meritocracy within the Organization, and pursuing base and capability development.
"I congratulate Maj. Gen. Capulong and Maj. Gen. Ramos, for your well-deserved promotion. Today's ceremony attests to your hard work, which has allowed the Army to sustain its quest to become a world-class organization that is a source of national pride. Through your outstanding leadership, you have empowered your people to excel in their work as soldiers and public servants," said Lt. Gen. Centino in his remarks. #
