FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army successfully conducted the first Search for the Binibining Kawani on December 3, 2021, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Out of 15 Civilian Human Resource candidates from different Army Major Units and Offices nationwide, the 4th Infantry Division’s representative Ms. Thea Francesca Tabudlong reigned victorious as the first Binibining Kawani of the Philippine Army. Headquarters & Headquarters Support Group’s (HHSG) Ms. Gee Marie Severino, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel’s (OG1, PA) Ms. Princess Anne Iglesia, and 11th Infantry Division’s Ms. Nurcelina Aiyob followed as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively.
Special awards were also given to the following candidates:
Miss Photogenic: Ms. Princess Anne Iglesia of OG1, PA
Best Regional Attire: Ms. Gee Marie Severino of HHSG
Best in Talent: Ms. Richelyn Cabale of 54th Engineer Brigade
Distinguished judges such as Miss Earth Air 2018 and Miss World 2nd Princess 2013 1st Lt. Zahra Bianca Saldua, Singer and Actor 2nd Lt. Ronnie Liang, Binibining Pilipinas Executive Committee Board Member Direk Raymond Villanueva, State Auditor IV Ms. Marilyn Laurente, Career Clinic & Ent. Inc. Managing Director Ms. Elvie Rodora Tarrobal, and DepEd Bataan Principal IV Ms. Michelle Loreta Bamba graced the event.
The Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army Maj. Gen. Robert Capulong commended the candidates as they showcased their grace and beauty while highlighting the efforts of the Civilian Human Resource in the achievement of the Command’s mission.
“Ang aking taus-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng kawani ng ating organisasyon. Ang inyong sipag at pagpupursigi ay aming inspirasyon upang pagbutihin pa ang aming araw-araw na serbisyo’t paglilingkod sa bayan,” said Maj. Gen. Capulong in his remarks.
The Search for Philippine Army’s Binibining Kawani is in line with the Command’s celebration of the National Government Employee Week.
