The Philippine Army, through its Army Personnel Management Center (APMC), conducted a Service Orientation for 64 newly minted 2nd Lieutenants at the Ricarte Hall of the Philippine Army Officers’ Club on December 8, 2021.
The 64 2nd Lieutenants underwent the service orientation program to familiarize them with the functions and responsibilities of the general staff and post units as well as the Army’s current thrusts and programs. They are part of the Officer Preparatory Course Class (OPC) 72-2020.
“A six months of rigorous training has capacitated you to lead our troops in combat and non-combat missions,” said APMC Deputy Director Lt. Col. Ronaldo Mateo.
“As you carry on with our sworn mandate to serve the people and secure the land, always remember to always uphold the Army’s core values of honor, patriotism, and duty,” Lt. Col. Mateo remarked.
