Army Chief leads Command Yuletide Celebration

The Commanding General Philippine Army Maj. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. led the Command's Yuletide Celebration through a Concelebrated Mass at St. Michael Archangel Church, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, on December 16, 2021.
The Command signaled the start of the traditional Misa de Gallo or "Simbang Gabi" as the Army personnel welcomed the yuletide season.
In his message, Maj. Gen. Brawner honored the troops' sacrifices as they approached the Christmas season in the frontlines against the state enemies and threats of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also urged the Army personnel and their families to stay safe against the virus during the holiday celebrations.
"While we exchange presents, bond and create lasting memories, and conscientiously attend Simbang Gabi every dawn, may this occasion compel us to introspect on our previous words and actions, fervently repent on our transgressions, and inculcate in our thoughts and our hearts the principle of reconciliation and forgiveness towards our families, friends, colleagues, and individuals whose presence had a profound and prominent effect in our lives," said Maj. Gen. Brawner during the celebration.
In compliance with the IATF health protocol and to show commiseration with the Filipinos suffering from the effects of the pandemic, the Philippine Army deferred its Christmas Parties and similar activities in all camps, units, and offices nationwide for the year 2021.
