Ten CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) surrendered to the Joint Task Force Central in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat, on December 15, 2021.
Joint Task Force Central and 6th Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy lauded the decision of the surrenderers who turned over nine firearms, including an M16 rifle attached with one M203 grenade launcher, one BAR caliber .30 rifle, three M1 Garand rifles, two Springfield rifles with scope, and one M79 grenade launcher.
The surrenderers belong to the Communist Terrorists Group's (CTG) Daguma Front, Sub-Regional Committee Daguma, Far South Mindanao Region. This CTG unit operates at the provincial tri-boundary of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and Sarangani, said Col. Ali Luis Macawaris Jr, Deputy Commander of 603rd Infantry Brigade, whose unit has operational control over the area.
