Army Reserve Force strengthens partnership with UP Diliman

The National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group (NCRRCDG) and the University of the Philippines Diliman signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the ROTC Program on December 23, 2021.
The said event intended to institutionalize the long-standing partnership between the two parties in implementing the ROTC Program as a variable component of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and citizen training development program for the youth.
The Group Commander of NCRRCDG, Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) Col. Ricky P. Bunayog, Chancellor of UP Diliman Prof. Fidel R. Nemenzo, and other prominent personalities from ARESCOM and the University Administration witnessed the activity.
Col. Jaime R. Datuin, the Commandant and Department Head of UP Diliman ROTC Unit, emphasized the value of the partnership between the academe and the Philippine Army in developing a more responsive youth of the country. The Army Reserve Force has been an integral part of the Philippine Army’s humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations during the recent onslaught of Typhoon Odette in Visayas and Mindanao as well as the Command’s nationwide COVID-19 response.
