Operating troops from the Army’s 17th Infantry Battalion (17IB) of 5th Infantry Division, in cooperation with the Philippine National Police, recovered hidden food supplies of the Communist-Terrorist Group (CTG) operating in Barangay Bural, Rizal, Cagayan on January 14, 2022.
17IB attributed the successful operation to information provided by a former rebel who disclosed the location of the hidden supplies of the CTG’s Komiteng Probinsya Cagayan, Komiteng Rehiyon-Cagayan Valley.
The Army leadership commended 17IB troops for their operational gains against the CTGs in Cagayan.
