84IB seizes firearms, ammunitions in Nueva Vizcaya
The Philippine Army's operating troops from 84th Infantry “Victorious” Battalion (84IB) led by Lt. Col. Enrico Gil Ileto, seized various firearms and ammunition in a legit combat operation against the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) operating in Brgy. Lipuga, Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya on January 17, 2022.
Following the operation, the troops recovered three (3) M16 rifles, 614 cartridges of 5.56mm ball, 21 cartridges of 7.62mm ball, eleven (11) 5.56mm long steel magazine assembly, eight (8) 5.56mm short steel magazine assembly, and three (3) bandoliers.
The Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. commended the 84IB troopers of their effort on Focused Military Operations to win the support of the people in the community that led to the decrease of CTG members operating in their area of responsibility. The said triumph is significant to the command and the government's campaign of eradicating atrocities and local terrorists in the country.
