The Philippine Army's 902nd Infantry Brigade (902Bde) welcomed Col. Edmundo Peralta as its new commander in a Change of Command Ceremony presided by Maj. Gen. Alex Luna, Commander of 9th Infantry Division at Camp Busig-on, Tulay na Lupa, Labo, Camarines Norte on January 14, 2022.
Col. Peralta took the helm of the 902nd Infantry Brigade from Brig. Gen. Jaime Abawag Jr. who will assume as deputy commander of the Army's 9ID wherein its area of operations will cover the Bicol Region. Prior to his assumption, Col. Peralta served as the Army's assistant chief of staff for intelligence.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. meanwhile lauded Brig. Gen. Abawag and Col. Peralta for their exemplary performance in their previous posts and urged them to stay on the winning course and sustain excellence amid the challenges.
