Five CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) voluntarily surrendered and turned over their weapons to Army's 7th Infantry Battalion (7IB) of the 6th Infantry Division at Barangay Kapaya, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat on February 3, 2022.
The five surrenderers belonged to the NPA’s Sub-Regional Committee Daguma, Far South Mindanao Region. They surrendered two M16 rifles, one 5.56mm carbine converted rifle, and three cal .38 revolvers.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded 7IB troops for facilitating the surrender of the former rebels. The CGPA has vowed to provide much-needed support to soldiers and Army units nationwide to further capacitate them in mission accomplishment.
