The combined campaign efforts of the Army's 37th Infantry Battalion of the 6th Infantry Division, and the municipal government of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat resulted in the surrender of two CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) on February 5, 2022.
The two surrenderers, who belonged to the CNT's Far South Mindanao Region, turned over a 12-gauge shotgun and one caliber .38 revolver upon their surrender.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded 37IB troops and the Lebak local government unit for facilitating the surrender of the two CNTs as he emphasized the crucial role of the “whole-of-nation” approach in ending insurgency problem in the country.
