CGPA lauds donors for Typhoon Odette relief operations

Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., the Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA), lauded the contribution of the donors for the Typhoon Odette relief operations in a Recognition Ceremony at Headquarters, Philippine Army on February 8, 2022.

The CGPA presented the Command Plaque and the “Pagdamay at Pagbangon” sculpture to the partner Stakeholders from the public and private sectors as tokens of appreciation for their valuable support to the Philippine Army and the families affected by Typhoon Odette.

Among the stakeholders who were recognized physically were Ms. Kim Ng of Lucio Tan Group of Companies, Dr. Elinor Roquel of Makati Golden Lions Club, Mr. Rey Del Valle of SM Foundation Incorporated, Ms. Jamira Magcale of Stone of David Corporation, and Army Reservist 1st Lt. Nelson C. Dy of Altama Philippines.

The stakeholders who attended the ceremony virtually were Mr. Michael Tan of Lucio Tan Group of Companies; Mr. Atif Farhad of First Global Trading Corporation; Ms. Lanie Nalda Amada of Flowtech Industrial Sales; Ms. Rose Romero of Foodpanda Philippines; Mr. Francis Reyes of Landers Philippines; Mr. Patrick Roquel of RiCHCorp; Lt. Gen Arthur I. Tabaquero AFP (Ret), Mr. Marion Raagas, and Ms. Phebie Jame Dy of Stone of Hope Builders & Development Corporation; Ms. Reyn Bungabong and Ms. Mehek Chotrani of The Wagon School; Judge Pia Cristina B. Embuscado of RTC Judge Las Piñas City; Ms. Ysabelle Asuncion of International School Manila; Ms. Arlene Padua of Aquabest; 1st Lt. The CGPA extended his gratitude for the generosity of the organizations and individual donors, which led to the distribution of 560 tons of various relief goods to the typhoon-affected communities.

Embodying the Spirit of Bayanihan, may we pursue this convergence in serving our fellow Filipinos and for a better and stronger nation for the next generation,” said Lt. Gen. Brawner in his remarks during the ceremony.#
