4 CTG female members yield in Ilocos Norte

Four female members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) surrendered and turned over high-powered firearms to the Army’s 24th Infantry Battalion and police forces in Ilocos Norte on February 7, 2022.
The surrenderers, identified as alias “Ligaya”, “Teresa”, “Elvie” and “Marinel,” hail from the towns of Marcos, Vintar, and Carasi. They surrendered along with them one M14 rifle, one US Remington Model 03-03, and one home-made shotgun. Combined elements of 24IB and Ilocos Norte police facilitated their surrender at Marcos and Carasi municipal police stations.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded 24IB troops and the police for facilitating the surrender of the four CTG female members.
