CGPA visits home of Jungle Fighters

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., visited the home of "Jungle Fighters" at the 2nd Infantry Division Headquarters in Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on February 14, 2022.
Lt. Gen. Brawner, in his “Talk to Troops,” tackled the three thrusts and two tasks encapsulated in the command guidance “SERVE.”
The CGPA vowed to take care of the physical and mental health of soldiers, enhance soldiers’ skills and unit competencies, and push down resources to further capacitate troops in mission accomplishment.
The Army Chief said the three thrusts will empower the Army to end the local communist armed conflict before the end of the current administration and ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the May 2022 elections. He also reminded 2ID troops to stay non-partisan, as he encouraged them to exercise their right to vote.
The Army Chief said the command guidance “SERVE” is anchored on the “servant leadership” style that he wants to instill among Army troops. “When we go to the communities, we should not act like kings. We are servants of the people we serve,” he told troops.
Lt. Gen. Brawner also challenged the brigade and battalion commanders to end insurgency in Southern Tagalog and Mindoro within the timeframe set by the commander-in-chief, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The CGPA condemned communist terrorists for organizing the widest terrorism in the country.
