Operating troops of the Army's 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB), 7th Infantry Division, and local police seized an arms cache stashed by CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) in Barangay Calaocan, Dipaculao, Aurora on February 18, 2022.
Acting on a tip-off of a former rebel, troops seized three M203 grenade launcher ammunition, empty bandoleers, three M16 magazines, two M14 magazines, 50 ammunition for 60 calibers, 10 M14 live ammunition, 17 M16 live ammunition, six M1 Garand ammunition, and an NPA flag believed to be owned by remnants of the CNTs’ Komiteng Larangang Guerrilla-Sierra Madre.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., commended 91IB troops for capturing the arms cache which will deny the CNTs the means to launch extortion activities and disrupt the election season.
