Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., welcomes visit of General Charles A. Flynn, Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) to Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on February 21, 2022, to foster stronger partnership between the two armies.
Lt. Gen. Brawner and Gen. Flynn tackled cooperation on capability development, training, and security matters of mutual concern.
Gen. Flynn relayed the USARPAC’s willingness to assist PA’s efforts in developing its Brigade Combat Team, Aviation Regiment, and training centers.
Gen. Flynn’s visit came as the PA and USARPAC prepare to hold the SALAKNIB on March 5 to 24, 2022 in various Central Luzon sites. SALAKNIB is an annual Army-to-Army bilateral training exercise to enhance defense readiness and interoperability between PA and USARPAC.
