Combined elements of the 94th Infantry Battalion (94IB) of the 3rd Infantry Division and local police nabbed a CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) who yielded firearms and explosives in Barangay Kamang-kamang, Isabela, Negros Occidental on February 19, 2022.
Army troops and policemen captured a 9-mm. Luger MOD TEC KG9 loaded with one live ammunition, one unit KG9 magazine loaded with live ammunition, three cartridge 40mm, HEDP M433 explosives, and one fragmentation grenade from the CNT identified by government as Harlyn Balora alias “Karyll.” Balora is a companion of Romeo Nanta, a CNT member who is facing a homicide case.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded 94IB troops and their police counterparts for capturing the firearms and explosives that could be used by the communists-terrorists to launch attacks and disrupt the election season in Negros Occidental.
