Operating troops of the Army's 1st Infantry Battalion neutralized a high-ranking CNT leader on February 21, 2022 in Polillo, Quezon.
The encounter resulted to the death of “Facio” and the capture of one M653 rifle, one short magazine, two anti-personnel mine, one bandolier, two keypad phones, one android phone, subversive documents, and other personal belongings.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the 1IB troopers for its gains. Further, to all troops of the 2nd Infantry Division for the implementation of his command guidance, “SERVE”, which equips soldiers in operations in ending the local communist armed conflict and sustain the peace in the country.
