Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Torres belongs to PMA “Makatao” Class of 1989. Before his current designation as commander NOLCOM, he served as commander of the Army's 10ID and the AFP's Joint Task Force Haribon, and the Civil Relations Service. He holds a Master in Military Arts and Science from the US Army Command and General Staff College and a Master in Mathematics from De La Salle University.
“Team Agila, I enjoin you to sustain our gains and aim for greater heights in our pursuit towards lasting peace and sustainable development,” Lt. Gen. Torres said in his speech.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., reiterated his three thrusts and two tasks to the 10ID troopers.
Maj. Gen. Mempin vowed to anchor his plans to the reiterated command thrusts and tasks, ensuring the mental and physical health of Agila troopers; enhance their skills and capabilities; and push down resources to line units which will allow the division to emerge victorious against threat groups and ensure safe and orderly polls in its area of responsibility.
