Lt. Gen. Brawner lauded Maj. Gen. Gonzales for leading Army's 11ID in neutralizing key local terrorist group (LTG) members. “More importantly, Maj. Gen. Gonzales had achieved a level of peace that has never been achieved in Sulu before,” Lt. Gen. Brawner remarked.
Lt. Gen. Brawner expressed confidence that Brig. Gen. Patrimonio will sustain the gains of his predecessor. He likewise vowed to fully support the Army's youngest division in developing its facilities and unit capabilities.
The CGPA also reiterated to Alakdan troopers his three thrusts and two tasks summarized in the command guidance SERVE: take care of the soldiers’ physical and mental health; enhance soldiers’ skills and unit capabilities; and push down resources to ground units. The Army Chief emphasized that the thrusts will enable the Army to emerge victorious against threat groups and ensure a safe and orderly national and local polls on May 2022.
