Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., graces the graduation ceremony of the Scout Ranger Course (SRC) Class 214-2021 at the First Scout Ranger Regiment’s (FSRR) headquarters in Camp Pablo Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan on February 24, 2022.
“I am very proud of the accomplishment that you have achieved, ” the CGPA told the newly minted Scout Rangers, citing their six skirmishes and one major encounter against CPP-NPA Terrorists; the recovery of six high-powered firearms; and the capture of three CNTs, including a high-value individual.
He also lauded members of SRC Class 214-21, who are known for their monicker Musangs, for enduring Typhoon Odette who lashed them during their test-mission deployment in mid-December 2021.
The CGPA also reiterated to Scout Rangers his three thrusts and two tasks summarized in the command guidance "SERVE" that is anchored on servant leadership.
He has vowed to take care of the soldiers’ physical and mental health; enhance soldiers’ skills and unit capabilities; and push down resources to ground units. The Army Chief emphasized that the thrusts will enable the Army to emerge victorious against threat groups and ensure a safe and orderly national and local polls on May 2022.
