Army athletes win big in 2nd MVP Badminton Competition

The Philippine Army shuttlers reaped medals in the 2nd MVP Badminton Cup held from February 23 to 25, 2022 at the Olympic Badminton Center, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City.
Pvt. Thea Marie Pomar and Pvt. Airah Mae Nicole Albo emerged as the champion in the Women’s Doubles category while their teammate Pvt. Alvin Morada placed 2nd runner-up in the Men’s Doubles category.
Pvt. Pomar, Pvt. Albo and Pvt. Morada are all part of the Philippine national badminton team that will compete in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam in May 2022.
Army Special Service Center, Installation Management Command Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun lauded Army Athletes for excelling in their chosen sports. He has committed to provide full support to each soldier-athlete to further hone their skills which is in line with the “SERVE” command guidance laid out by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.
