Soldiers donate blood to save lives in PA anniversary bloodletting drive

Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Henry M. Doyaoen led the Philippine Army's (PA) 125th Founding Anniversary bloodletting drive on March 4, 2022, at the Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
The bloodletting program—conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross and GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc. (GMAKFI) through its Sagip Dugtong Buhay project—yielded 97, 200 cc of blood from 216 soldiers. The activity aims to supplement the supply of blood banks amid the Covid-19 pandemic, continuing dengue cases, and vehicular accidents.
Maj. Gen. Doyaoen said the blood-letting drive, which is part of the month-long PA anniversary celebration, shows the dedication and commitment of soldiers to save lives in a multitude of ways.
“Kahit wala pang emergency, nagbibigay na ang kasundaluhan ng tulong para sa ating bayan,” said Maj. Gen. Doyaoen in his remarks.
