The Philippine Army’s Aviation Regiment marked International Women’s Day with an all-female training flight at the Fort Magsaysay Army Aerodrome, Nueva Ecija on March 8, 2022.
Three female Army Aviators—Cpt. Pearl Esther I. Taladro (Pilot-in-Command), Maj. Sharon Jill F. Carangrang (Co-Pilot) and Cpt. Rhona K. Salvacion—conducted a series of take-off and landing exercises, co-pilot landing, air taxi and quick stop maneuvers.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the Aviation Regiment for its efforts to achieve gender equality in the organization and for continuously striving to upgrade the skills and capabilities of Army aviators.
