Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., administered a lecture entitled "The Role of the Military in a Maturing Democracy" on April 13, 2022 at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), Manipula Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
Lt. Gen. Brawner talked about the Contemporary Security Challenges (CSC) that the Philippines is facing today. He highlighted the importance of the military in addressing the security problems of the country.
"With NTF-ELCAC, the government agencies are now very present even in the far flung barangays to deliver the basic services," said Lt. Gen. Brawner.
Also, the CGPA emphasized that the role of the military in our national security transcends to relief operations, peacekeeping, and defense mission against internal and external threats.
