Army’s premier disaster response unit, 191st Military Police Battalion hold joint drills

The 525th Engineer Combat Battalion of the 51st Engineer Brigade held joint Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) drills with the 191st Military Police Battalion (191st MP Bn) of the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) at the Mandirigtas Training Area, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Taguig City on June 15, 2022.
 
The activity showcased 191 MP Bn’s readiness in responding to a possible hostage-taking crisis that may happen at Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA). Meanwhile, 525ECB combat engineers demonstrated their counter-IED, breaching and rescue capabilities in the hostage-taking blast scenario which is among the highlights of the joint drills.
 
The joint drill is also part of the line-up activities in connection with the 32nd founding anniversary of the 191 MP Bn.
 
The recently concluded activity is in line with the thrust of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. to enhance skills of individual soldiers and unit capabilities to bolster their mission accomplishment.
