The Philippine Army held the "Vice Commander and Chief of Staff Time with the new Army second lieutenants" at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on January 30, 2024.
The newly-commissioned lieutenants came from the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) “GAIGMAT” Class 58-2023 and Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Madasigon” Class of 2023 who will be deployed to various units of the Army and will lead on the frontlines during combat operations against the CPP-NPA Terrorists, Local Terrorist Groups, and other security threats.
The talk was led by the Army Vice Chief Maj. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid and Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba. Speaking from the veteran's point of view, Maj. Gen. Guinid imparted his wisdom to the new Army officers: “Be resilient in any kind of challenge. It is alright to make mistakes, but learn from your experience. Also, respect your colleagues as well as the senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the unit.”
