The Philippine Army's Civil-Military Operations (CMO) leaders commenced the three-day CMO Forum that focuses on aligning the Army’s public affairs, civil affairs, and information operations with the AFP's overall shift to territorial defense at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City from September 11-13, 2024.
The Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations spearheaded the forum which gathered CMO officers and Public Affairs Officers of various Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs). The annual forum also serves as a venue for the Army's CMO leaders to review the implementation of current CMO policies and programs, and enhance the formulation of relevant policies, guidelines, and directives.
The three-day forum featured two-day lectures with the third and final day focusing on implementation plan workshops, panel discussions, and facilitators’ training.
MGen Arvin R. Lagamon PA, the Deputy Staff Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7, and Assistant Secretary Michel Andre D. Del Rosario, Head of National Task Force on the West Philippine Sea Information Working Group graced the activity.
