Army reaffirms commitment to end violence against women

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - The Philippine Army personnel reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to promoting equality, respect, and dignity for all at the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) Kick-Off Ceremony on November 25, 2024, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led the ceremony and encouraged the Army personnel to lead by example, extend their strength to the vulnerable, and stand firm against abuse and discrimination. The Army Chief also reminded everyone that the organization supports the zero-tolerance on all forms of gender-based violence.

"As we embark on this 18-day campaign, let us remember that the fight to end violence against women is not just a responsibility; it is a duty we owe to future generations. Together, as one Philippine Army, we will march forward, ensuring that justice and equality prevail," said the Army Chief in his remarks.
