FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army extends assistance to the Philippine Army Golf Course (PAGC) daily wage earners personnel on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Bayani Road, Taguig City.
With the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine on March 17, golf course activities were temporarily suspended thus affecting the livelihood of the PAGC civilian daily wage workers.
Through the combined efforts of the Philippine Army Golf Council and the Army Golf Course, a total of 283 PAGC workers received Php 3,500 each. Additional relief goods were from Ms Bela Padilla and other food items from the Civil-Military Operations Regiment were also given to the personnel.
PAGC personnel includes Golf Maintenance, Caddies, Tee Boys/Girls, Umbrella Girls and other PAGC civilian helpers.
“One of Army’s current thrusts is to give importance to the overall well-being of everyone in the team Army. Whether they are soldiers or civilians, it is the organization’s responsibility to take care of all its personnel, especially now that the crisis in COVID -19 is greatly challenging different aspects in our daily living,” noted Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay
